Hi.  My name is Mike, and I am a Dad.  This is my first blog and I really have no idea what I am doing.  But I felt the need to share my thoughts, opinions – of which I have many, wit, and humor with, well, anyone who might read this…

If you read my “about me,” you will see I have two young daughters, Careena and Hailee.  They make me smile every day, keep me young, and give me purpose.  I hate being away from them…I miss them when they sleep.  I love my family and I love our life.

I am “a bit older” than most fathers with a 2 1/2 and 1 year old, but that’s okay, their Mother is half my age. 😉  I do have two older children, and am actually a grandfather of two beautiful young granddaughters as well.  My experiences have made me realize that I had a lot to learn about being a dad – a father.  I am not saying I know what I am doing in every situation or have all of the answers, but I do know that my age and experiences have given me a different perspective and insight than most Dads with toddlers.

So this blog will be my outlet.  An outlet for my thoughts, opinions, rants, vents, (bad) jokes, and whatever else comes to mind.  One thing is for sure – whatever I say in here is just simply…
